Getting featured in well known fashion periodicals is what every fashion photographer looks forward to when creating images. Whether it be the printed top industry magazines or indie magazine circuits that feature the best in the industry. Having someone recognize your work and then decide that they want to publish it is always a good feeling.
I recently had the opportunity to work along with Bahamian Super Model Tomacina Culmer (@tomiiculmer) who I have had the chance to work with on many occasions before. It had been a while and we decided that we should get together and make some magic again. We wanted to showcase her natural beauty while rocking some dope fashion looks. We enlisted the help of Lavonne (@thecc_style) who we both trusted to create awesome fashion vibes that fit the “Melanin Motivation” schema.
After some location scouting we decided on a rustic spot that provided a lot of options for lighting and props. Tomacina then turned on the magic and did her thing, look small business news dublin ireland. Her effortless movements and gazes at the camera created frame after frame of ‘keeper’ images, while the looks provided by Lavonne accented the location and the props.
Elle’ments Magazine picked up the set and used it in their December Issue. The images stand out in the pages and the theme of Melanin Motivation definitely shines through.
It was hard to decide which of the looks was my favourite. Since there were so many great frames of Tomacina to choose from, but over all I believe that this set of photographs has a unique look that will for sure create an impact in the industry.
